In the 1st Championship Wednesday get off to a poor start, losing five in eight to be kicking around the bottom end of the table, but just two defeats in the last ten sees them climb to a mid-table finish.

In the 2nd Championship Wednesday once again get the season off to a poor start, winning just one of the ten opening fixtures, which are qualifying matches for the League Cup knockout competition and with the team in 55th place fail to qualify.  Thankfully a good finish including four wins and a draw in the County Cup matches, which count towards the 2nd League competition, sees them climb to another mid-table finish.

Wednesday win the County Cup, beating United in the two-leg final 7-3 on aggregate.

Victory in Europe is declared on the 8th May and a series of football matches are played the following day to celebrate.  Wednesday take on United at Bramall Lane and lose 2-0.

Note:  Goalkeeper Harry Donaldson plays three matches but only two of them in goal.
