Wednesday are 2nd Division (Tier 2) champions for the 4th time in their history and are promoted to the 1st Division (Tier 1).

For the 2nd time in five seasons after getting relegated to the 2nd Division the previous season, Wednesday immediately bounce back and are promoted as champions.  After an inconsistent start to the season including a seven match winless run, Wednesday go top by Christmas and are never overtaken.  Wednesday score 101 goals in their 42 matches, Roy Shiner being the top scorer with a massive 33 goals.
