Manager Jack Marshall struggles with his health at the start of the season and although Wednesday make a decent start, results began to slide and Marshall decided enough was enough and resigned with Wednesday in 10th place. Remarkably caretaker Tom McAnearney fails to win any of his 11 matches in charge and Wednesday finish the season with a run of 12 matches without a win.
