Wednesday are Football League Champions for the 2nd season running and the 2nd time in their history.

In a fantastic season, Wednesday go unbeaten at home, winning fourteen and drawing three.  They only lose seven matches all season and finish three points ahead of runners-up Manchester City.

In the FA Cup, Wednesday reach the semi-final, losing to eventual cup winners Manchester City at Goodison Park, Liverpool.  Along the way, they beat Southern League Plymouth Argyle in the 1st round after a replay and Western League Tottenham Hotspur in the 3rd round also after a replay.  It's the first time Wednesday have played both clubs.
