In a good season for the Owls, Wednesday finish in 5th position in the League and reach the FA Cup semi-final.

In the FA Cup Wednesday beat 1st Division teams West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United on the road to the semi-final.  Wednesday face Everton at Villa Park Birmingham and the tie is level at 1-1 after 90 minutes.  Sadly Everton win the match in extra time.

In the EFL Cup Wednesday are dumped out by 4th Division (tier 4) Swindon Town in round 3.
