The match is played in front of 10,000 spectators with at least 2,000 travelling from Sheffield and kicks off thirty minutes late due to the crowd encroaching on the pitch.  Mounted Police are used to patrol the touchlines.  Tom Brandon has the honour of scoring Wednesday's first ever Football Leage goal.
