In the FA Cup, Wednesday reach the semi-final for the second season running.  Wednesday beat 2nd Division Notts County in the 1st round and in the 2nd round thrash Northern League Middlesbrough in the first meeting between the clubs.  Wednesday beat Everton in the 3rd round but lose to West Bromwich Albion in the semi-final at the County Ground, Derby.
