Wednesday are relegated to the 2nd Division (Tier 2)

In one of Wednesday's worst ever seasons, they go bottom of the League in early November and never recover.  A club record run of twenty League matches without a win sees Wednesday relegated with 5 matches of the season remaining and despite winning three of the last four matches are still eleven points behind Cardiff City who are in 20th position.  In the FA Cup they are very nearly embarassed by Southern League Hastings Town, before being knocked out of the competition by 2nd Division Notts County.
