Ina terribly inconsistent season, Wednesday make a decent start but a run of eight defeats in ten matches sees them in 18th place in November.  Wednesday rally somewhat but another slump sees them in 18th place again at the start of April.  Thankfully a run of three wins in the last three matches banishes any relegation fears and Wednesday finish the season in a slightly flattering 14th position.

After two draws, Wednesday are finally beaten in the FA Cup 3rd round by Preston North End.
