Wednesday have an excellent season and look good for the Championship after thirty-four matches with a terrific run including beating Derby 4-1, Arsenal 5-2 and Bradford City 6-0 in successive matches.  Unfortunately one win in the final four matches sees them slip to a 3rd place finish behind Champions Sunderland and runners-up Aston Villa.

In the FA Cup, Wednesday beat 2nd Division Grimsby Town in the 1st round and Chelsea after a replay in the 2nd round before losing to 2nd Division Bradford at Park Avenue in the 3rd round.
