For the second season running, Wednesday finish the season in 8th place.  With fifteen wins and just one defeat the home form is Championship standard but Wednesday are one of just two teams who only manage one away win all season, the other being Fulham, who finish 20th.

In the FA Cup Wednesday beat Leicester City in the 3rd round before losing to bottom team Bristol City at Ashton Gate in the 4th round after a draw at Hillsborough.
