Season DETAIL - 2016-2017

Wednesday are defeated in the play-offs semi-final.

After finishing 6th the previous season and being defeated in the Play-Off final, Wednesday have an even better season and finish 4th.  Unfortunately once again Wednesday are defeated in the play-offs, Huddersfield managing to win through on penalties after both semi-final matches are drawn.  Huddersfield's only goal in the two matches being a Tom Lees own goal.

Wednesday are defeated in the EFL Cup by League Two (tier 4) Cambridge United.
